About Stina Sayre Design

History
Stina Sayre Design was started in 1989 to empower women in all facets of their lives through fashion on the edge, that elevates and instills confidence.  My customers are passionate, strong and adventurous leaders that are engaged in their communities and want to make a mark in this great big world.

My designs signal strength, beauty and the determination to be seen. They are deconstructed with lots of asymmetry, raw edges and beautiful colors. Architectural lines with interesting details that translate to conversation pieces are a Stina Sayre signature. I seek to enhance the female figure with subtle undertones of athleticism and sexiness in each style that I create. My motto is that Stina Sayre Designs are “threads that make waves” because, as women, we seek to disrupt the status quo through personal expression.

Sustaining our community
I built this business on the belief that we should all strive to be a part of the fabric of our communities.  I take great pride that everything I design is made in the state of Massachusetts. Sustainable manufacturing and materials are also something my team strives for, doing our part to ensure that there is little to no waste in the process.

Activism
My mother was engaged in the feminist movement, breaking glass ceilings wherever she would go. She inspired me to continue that important work both inside and outside of my design studio. Supporting women’s rights, supporting the right to make decisions about our own bodies and dressing those bodies in each of their shapes and forms, is a large part of my life’s work.

Stina Sayre supports

The Center for Reproductive Rights uses the power of law to advance reproductive rights as fundamental human rights around the world. And NIRH (National Institute of Reproductive Health) helping leaders understand and shape laws to safeguard women’s rights. We also support Orkeeswaa a school in Tanzania whose student body is currently 68% young women. A healthy woman, in a healthy family, is a healthy world.

With love respect and gratitude,
